Choreographer Ira Weisburd is filmed here in June, 2007 demonstrating his popular Line Dance to the Classic Song “My Foolish Heart”. Composed by Victor Young and Ned Washington, it was first introduced in the 1949 movie by the same name. It starred Susan Hayward and Dana Andrews. Although the movie did not get great reviews, the song was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song and has since become a Jazz Standard and one of the most beautiful love songs. Here are the lyrics: The night is like a lovely tune — Beware my foolish heart! How white the ever distant moon — Take care, my foolish heart! There’s a line between love and fascination, That’s so hard to see on evenings such as this; For they both give the very same sensation. When you are lost in the magic of a kiss. Her lips are much too close to mine Beware my foolish heart! But should our eager lips combine, Then let the fire start. For this time it isn’t fascination, Or a dream that will fade and fall apart. It’s love this time, it’s love, my foolish heart!
